CANDABA -- Pastor Danilo Amurao of Jesus Lift Higher Church has finally decided to participate in the 2010 elections as a candidate for board member in the Fourth District of Pampanga.
According to Amurao, his plan to run for an elective position is supported by more than 100 Pastors in the said district, Civil Society Abe Abe, Saup Saup King Panyulung Emumurung and Pampanga Christian Minister Council.
Amurao said, he is determined to run for board member and set to file his certificate of candidacy on December 1. “I have already organized my municipal coordinators in the eight municipalities in the district, so it’s final, I am running,” Amurao added.
Amurao has disclosed that he will be running under Bangon Pilipinas Party of Brother Eddie Villanueva. He will be serving as the Fourth District coordinator.
Amurao said, despite of his affiliation with his chosen party, there are on-going talks with other parties like Liberal and Nacionalista. “These parties have manifested willingness to take me as their guess candidate,” he said.
Among other candidates for board member in the Fourth District include Nestor Tolentino, Nelson Calara and Ricardo Yabut who is reportedly withdrawing from his congressional ambition.(Herbert P. Mapiles)
