CITY OF SAN FERNANDO --- Lakas-Kampi-CMD standard bearer Gilbert Teodoro and his tandem for the vice presidency – Edu Mansano received warm welcome from the Pampanga Mayors League (PML), members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, district congressmen and party list representative.

These Pampanga officials have expressed full support to Gibo-Edu tandem during a brief meeting at Max Restaurant in this city.

Prior to the meeting, Gibo and Edu had attended a speaking engagement in a political rally in front of the city hall led by Mayoralty candidate Ely “Tiger” Lagman and political line ups.

Asked about the extension of the three year term of the mayors to five years, Teodoro said his priority right now is to get the trust and confidence of the people as he has expressed his flat form of government anchored on poverty alleviation, quality education, more infrastructure, livelihood skills development, among others.

The mayors on the other hand believed that the Gibo and Edu would be the next president and vice president of the Republic of the Philippines considering their machinery and commitment to bring to victory the candidates of the administration through honest and clean election.

The brief meeting was attended by 2nd District Representative Mikey Arroyo, 3rd District Representative Aurelio “Dong” Gonzales, Butil Congressman Pit Guanlao, Board Members Ric Yabut, Cris Garbo, Joel Simpauco, Nelson Calara, Carl Domingo, Lubao Mayor Dennis Pineda, Minalin Mayor Edgardo Flores, Floridablanca Mayor Eduardo Guerrero, Porac Mayor Roger Santos, Guagua Mayor Ric Rivera, Mabalacat Mayor Marino Morales, Magalang Mayor Romulo Pecson, Bacolor Mayor Buddy Dungca, Sta. Ana Mayor Rommel Concepcion, Arayat Mayor Chito Espino, Mexico Mayor Teddy Tumang, Macabebe Mayor Bobong Flores, Sta. Rita Mayor Yolly Pineda and San Luis Mayor Jayson Sagum ,Masantol Mayor Peter Flores, Sasmuan Mayor Leonardo Velasco, Apalit Mayor Jun Tetangco, San Simon Mayor Rodrigo Canlas, Sto. Tomas Mayor Lito Naguit, Minalin Mayor Edgardo Flores.

Not present was Candaba Mayor Jerry Pelayo but in a phone interview, he has also expressed full support to Teodoro.

Pelayo said, in his personal capacity he is very much willing to help Teodoro in his nationwide campaign should he decided to run and be the standard bearer of the Lakas-Kampi merger.

“King Candaba balu mine nung ninu ing iboto ming presidente, yapin y Secretary Teodoro,” he said.

The Minalin mayor said Teodoro has all the experience, intelligence and superior qualification of a presidentiable who can run better this country.

The mayors said, they he believed that Teodoro and Manzano would surely win the election in 2010 and be the next president of the Philippines as party mates are now starting to introduce the capability and better governance offered.

In an earlier interview, Teodoro, a bar topnotcher said he would continue the legacy and work programs started by President Arroyo such as the Subic Clark Tarlac Expressway, among others which he believes would create more jobs and opportunities for the Filipino people.

Gibo and Edu had managed to raise the hands of the incumbent officials as a show of support and confidence in his leadership.
